BUFFALO, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's soccer team picked up a 1-0 road win on Wednesday against D'Youville College.
The Golden Eagles improve to 3-1-1 while handing the Spartans their first loss, who fall to 3-1-1 on the year.
Brockport led the way in several categories, with 16 shots to their counterparts eight, and the Green and Gold were awarded four corner kicks, while holding the Spartans to zero.
The Golden Eagles lone goal came early in the contest when
Sabrina DeBellis found the back of the net off a shot from the top of the box in the 19th minute. The Green and Gold defense held D'Youville scoreless, their fourth shutout of the season.
Earning her fourth shutout in 2016,
Daniele Ogrodowski got the start and picked up four saves in the outing.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Sept 17 when they wrap up their road streak at Medaille College at 5 pm.
