BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) released the 2017 preseason poll on Friday, with The College at Brockport women's lacrosse program slated as the No. 2 team in the league.
 
The Golden Eagles were voted second in the SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll, with a combined 72 points. Under Head Coach Stephen Wagner, who was named the SUNYAC Coach of the Year a year ago, Brockport finished the 2016 season 15-4 (6-2 conference record) and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Green and Gold danced all their way to the 'Sweet 16' round of the NCAA Championship before falling to Franklin and Marshal College.
 
Brockport also received a preseason ranking in the 2017 Division III US Lacrosse Magazine Top 20, sitting in the No. 8 spot in the nation.

The Golden Eagles will kick off their 2017 campaign on Feb. 26 when they travel to Granville, Ohio to take on Denison University.
