CORTLAND, N.Y.- The College at Brockport notched its second consecutive State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory on Saturday afternoon, edging Cortland in overtime 66-57. With the victory Brockport improves to 7-13 and 6-7 in SUNYAC play. Cortland falls to 8-11 overall and 7-5 in league play.

Hannah Rehbaum led the way for the Golden Eagles posting a double-double with 15 points, and 14 rebounds. The senior also knocked down clutch free throws down the stretch going 9-for-14 from the line.
Olivia LeBaron connected on four three pointers in the contest, going 4-for-6 from long range, while dishing out three assists.

It took just under three minutes into the first quarter before the games first points were scored, when
Lindsay Johnson connected on a jumper. Cortland scored the next three taking a one point advantage. The Golden Eagles knocked down a three point basket on their final three possessions of the frame.
Megan Anagnostopulos hit two from long range, while LeBaron connected on her first triple of the contest, giving Brockport a 12-8 lead after one.

Brockport extended their lead to seven points following a three pointer by
Bailey Pratt, while the Golden Eagles defense buckled down holding the Red Dragons scoreless for the just over five minutes to start the frame. Cortland answered with a 7-0 run, taking a 16-15 lead in the process. Back-to-back buckets by
Emily Nestler put the Green and Gold back up two, as Brockport took a 22-20 lead into the locker room.

The Green and Gold shot a sizzling 57.1 percent from three point land in the first half, while the Golden Eagles defense held Cortland to just 8-of-32 shooting from the floor. Anagnostopulos led the way for Brockport scoring six points, going a perfect 2-for-2 from the floor.

The Red Dragons scored the first five points to start the half retaking the lead at 25-22. With the contest knotted up at 28-28, the Golden Eagles scored back-to-back buckets, first LeBaron knocked down a three pointer followed by a layup by Johnson, giving the Green and Gold a 33-28 advantage. Cortland cut the lead to 33-30 heading into the final quarter of play.

Just two minutes into the fourth quarter Brockport opened up a ten point lead, behind an 8-0 run, whenÂ
Schyler Laux and LeBaron hit back-to-back triples followed by a layup by Rehbaum. The Red Dragons answered back scoring the next eight points cutting their deficit to two points. With just over three minutes remaining in the contest Cortland retook the lead using a 6-0 run. Laux halted the run by connecting on a three point bucket, putting the Golden Eagles up 48-46. Laux came through clutch again, with Brockport trailing by three with just over 32 seconds left in the contest, the sophomore saw another three ball go through the net, forcing overtime.

The Golden Eagles dominated the extra frame of play, opening up overtime on a 9-0 run, Rehbaum scored four points during the streak, while
Faith Welch hit a layup and LeBaron capped off the run hitting her fourth three of the contest. Cortland went on one final run cutting the lead to three points, but the Golden Eagles were able to ice the game from the line going 6-for-8 down the stretch.

Brockport finished the game shooting 50 percent from long range. Laux finished the night with three from long range, scoring nine points, while dishing out two helpers. Nestler pulled down 11 rebounds, while scoring nine points narrowly missing a double-double. The Golden Eagles played stout defense all night holding Cortland to 30 percent shooting from the field, and only 16.7 percent from long range.

Brockport returns to action on Friday, Feb. 3, as the Golden Eagles host SUNY Geneseo. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
