BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport field hockey team lost 5-1 at home against Utica College Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles honored five seniors

Margo Tremaine for their hard work and dedication to the program throughout their time at Brockport.
Brockport drops to 3-13 on the year, where the Pioneers move to 8-7.
The Green and Gold fell behind early as Utica notched the first three goals of the game in the second, third, and fourth minutes. The defense continued to struggle for Brockport as the Pioneers scored another goal in the 17th minute, to take a 4-0 advantage. The defense locked down for the remainder of the half to keep the score the same as they headed into the halftime break.
Brockport allowed another goal early in the second half to find themselves down 5-0. The Golden Eagles picked up the pace for the remainder of the game as they poured on an onslaught of offense.
The Green and Gold connected on their first goal of the game in the 53rd minute off a penalty corner chance.
Christina Conkling collected the ball at the top of the circle and passed a hard ball to the far corner where
Olivia Douglas was there to tip the ball in, to have the score set at 5-1. Both teams battled it out for the remainder of the game, but Brockport could not convert on any more of their chances, falling 5-1.
Sarah Beam finished the game with 10 saves, seeing over 57 minutes of action while in net and
Adriana DeDie stopped one, picking up nearly 13 minutes of play.
Brockport will travel to Wells College tomorrow Oct. 22nd, with their game slated to start at 1 p.m.
