BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport field hockey team went toe-to-toe with Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday, Sept. 10th losing 5-0 at home.
The Golden Eagles are 1-3 in 2017 while the Ducks have a record of 1-2.
The first half was an offensive stalemate, with neither team able to find the back of the cage, and Brockport's defense stepping up on several plays. The tight match held through the first half, as the Green and Gold would take a 0-0 score into the halftime break.
The second half was a different story, as the Golden Eagles saw the Ducks score, just 28 seconds into play, to trail 1-0. Brockport would fall further behind, after the Ducks scored four more goals in the 48th, 54th, 68th and 70th minute.
Sarah Beam for the Green and Gold finished the game with 14 saves and Adrianna DeDie notched three saves.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Sept. 13 when they host the University of Rochester under the lights, with the game slated to start at 7 p.m.
