Game Notes
The Golden Eagles have held a consistent fourth place spot on the national rankings, however this isn't the only national attention the team is receiving. Brockport leads all divisions in the NCAA in third down conversion with .085 and rushing defense with -5.3 per game. If the team can continue to perform at such a high level, they are set to stay on track for another undefeated conference season.

With that said, the Golden Eagles are coming off an extremely strong defensive effort this past Saturday. The team saw stand out performances from defensive back
Matt Arita who was the first to put the Golden Eagles on the board with a 75-yard pick-six return.
Matt Szymanski,
Austin Dean, and
Lawrence Jenkins accounted for a combined 17 tackles, and 4.5 sacks for a loss of 31 yards. Senior
Rashad Baker also had his hand in on the fun, adding four tackles and three pass breakups. After Dean's performance, he earned himself a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week. The defense as a whole only allowed the Cardinals 231 yards of total offense, including a negative 51-yards rushing.

In this weekend's matchup, Brockport looks to put on a show on the defensive and offensive ends of the field. The Golden Eagles have a deep offensive arsenal, led by
Joe Germinerio, who is in the top 12 nationally with his completion percentage of 70.3 percent. The Green and Gold will also look to
Tyree Brown,
Joseph Ortiz, and
Eamon Gillespie to lead the receiving core as they combined for 169 total yards receiving on Saturday.

When these two teams met last, Brockport had a dominating offensive performance, shutting the Hawks out 45-0 with a terrific performance by Germinerio who threw for 259-yards and four touchdowns, three of which were 40-yards or more.

The team remains on the road for the following weekend as well, as they are set to take on rival Alfred University at 1 p.m.
