CORTLAND, N.Y.—The College at Brockport field hockey team lost a tough 6-0 matchup on the road against a now 11-5 SUNY Cortland team, dropping the Golden Eagles to 4-12 overall.
It was a battle from the start as the Green and Gold fought hard for offense against the Red Dragons.
Meaghan Lurz and
Molly Scarpello were the only Brockport players to manage a shot throughout the game. The Golden Eagles defense was tested heavily as the ball remained on Brockport's end of the field a majority of the game.
Cara Fox had eight saves in 70 minute, putting up the strongest effort possible against a powerful Red Dragon offense.
Brockport enters their final week of play with two matchups remaining. The Golden Eagles are one the road again Wednesday against Union College at 6 p.m.
