ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The College at Brockport field hockey team struggled to find their groove Wednesday night, suffering a tough 4-0 to the University of Rochester. The team falls to 1-3 on the season while the Yellow Jackets improve to 5-0 overall.
The Golden Eagles remained scoreless through the first half, depending on the strength of the defensive effort led by goalie
Adriana DeDie to hold them together. Despite not being able to force their way into the Yellow Jackets offensive circle, sophomore
Meaghan Lurz picked up the solo penalty corner of the night for Brockport with 15 minutes left in the game in an effort to put the Golden Eagles on the board.
DeDie had a solid night in the net for the Golden Eagles, recording 13 saves on 26 shots faced. The senior had a little help from defender
Emily Hall who also added a defensive save.
Brockport heads to Troy, N.Y this Sunday for another non-conference matchup against Sage College at 4 p.m.
