Buffalo, NY – The College at Brockport women's soccer team was on the road Friday for a conference matchup with the Buffalo State Bengals. Brockport improved to 7-5-1 overall and 3-2 in the SUNYAC after an impressive 4-1 victory.
The Golden Eagles got off to a quick start with a goal in the 4
th minute of the match. Freshman
Camryn Pettit scored the goal, with the assist coming from fellow freshman
Kiley Longin. The Bengals tied the score up at 1-1 in the 22
nd minute. Pettit would find the back of the net once more before halftime, assisted by
Sydnee Smith.
Brockport held a 2-1 advantage at halftime, despite being outshot 7-6. Goalkeeper
Kayla Usborne finished the half with five stops.
The Green and Gold would add to the lead early in the second half, taking a 3-1 lead with the goal from
Kiley Longin. Soon after
Franchesca Polcaro would net a score of her own to increase Brockport's lead to 4-1 in the second half. The team held its three-goal advantage through the final horn to secure the win.
This is the second match this season that Pettit has recorded two goals, as she increases her season total to seven. Longin keeps up with her classmates scoring pace after a score of her own, also having seven on the year.

Kayla Usborne, tallied seven saves in the win. Brockport has now won three of its last four heading into Saturday's contest.
The Golden Eagles head to Fredonia now for a meeting with the Blue Devils. Kick-off for this SUNYAC match is set for 1 pm.
