BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport field hockey team picked up their second conference loss of the season Saturday afternoon to SUNY New Paltz, 3-0.
The Golden Eagles entered the game eager to give the former SUNYAC Champions a run for their money. Both teams remained scoreless for most of the first half, putting immense pressure on the defenses to hold strong.
Cara Fox and the defense put in a strong effort to make up for the offensive standoff, finishing the game with 17 saves, Fox recording 14 and three off of key defensive saves by
Bella Addesa,
Emily Hall and
Katie Ziemba.
Even though the Green and Gold struggled to find the back of the net, the team saw a consistent offensive push from
Bailey Lazore,
Renee Lauer,
Katie Ziemba and
Alyssa Fuccillo.
The team is back at home again on Tuesday against the University of Rochester at 7 p.m. before heading on the road for a couple of games.
