BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport men's lacrosse team fell to St. John Fisher College Wednesday afternoon, by a score of 17-7. With the loss, the Golden Eagles move to 1-3 on the season, while the Cardinals improve to 5-0 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED –
- Corey Choberka opened up the scoring for Brockport just minutes into the game.
- St. John Fisher went on a four-goal run before Brockport responded with one of their own from Patrick Sheridan.
- The Golden Eagles went into halftime down by five after three more unanswered goals from the Cardinals.
- St. John Fisher started the second half with six more tallies.
- Brockport ended the third quarter with scores from Liam O'Connor and Corey Choberka to bring the score to 13-4.
- The Golden Eagles were issued a two-minute non-releasable penalty to start the fourth quarter
- The Cardinals capitalized on the man-up advantage scoring three goals in the two-minute span
- Brockport picked up three scores in the fourth quarter to end the game, 17-7.
- O'Connor and Sheridan picked up their second goals of the night, while Peter Scavone picked up his first of the game and fifth of the season.
