Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's lacrosse team fell to No. 19 Ithaca College Wednesday afternoon, by a score of 23-14. With the loss, the Golden Eagles move to 3-1 on the season, while the Bombers improve to 4-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED –
- Brockport jumped out to an early one-goal lead as Heather Conklin tallied her first of the game a minute into play.
- The Golden Eagles fell into a three-goal deficit moments later as the Bombers went on a four-goal run.
- Brockport answered back with a pair of goals to bring the score within one.
- Jade Williams tallied the second Brockport score, while Conklin buried the third.
- The Bombers pulled ahead once more, scoring five unanswered goals to take the lead, 10-3.
- The Golden Eagles stopped the Ithaca attack with a trio of goals that narrowed the score to 10-6.
- Chloe Kurst picked up the fourth Brockport goal, while Allison Jennings and Williams made back to back scores.
- Brockport allowed two Ithaca scores to end the half trailing, 12-6.
- Ithaca picked up a pair of goals to start the second frame.
- Brockport went on four-goal run to bring the score to 14-10.
- Kurst picked up a pair, while Conklin and Williams each added a tally.
- The Bombers answered with a four-goal run of their own, pulling away from the Golden Eagles, 18-10.
- The two teams traded a goal apiece around the 10-minute mark, Julie Carballo picked up the Brockport tally.
- The Golden Eagles added two more goals moments later, with scores from Conklin and Jennings.
- Brockport allowed in four more goals against, and picked up one goal from Jillian Babinksy to end the half.
