WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The College at Brockport men's lacrosse team defeated Lycoming College on the road on Saturday, by a score of 7-5. With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 4-3 on the season, while Lycoming falls to 2-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED –
- Brockport found itself trailing early, with Lycoming posting a pair of goals in the first quarter.
- The Green and Gold saw the Warriors add another score in the second frame, but Jacob Recor worked in the Golden Eagles' first score, burying a Liam O'Connor set up to take a 3-1 deficit into the half.
- The Green and Gold came out strong in the second half, rattling off three straight scores to take a 4-3 lead.
- Joe Chiarmonte got things rolling off a Kieran Fitzgerald assist, while Corey Choberka added a goal at the 10:16 mark.
- O'Conner netted his second goal on the day to give the Green and Gold the go-ahead goal.
- Lycoming evened the score to close the third quarter, 4-4.
- At the 11:32 mark in the final quarter Jake Recor put in O'Connor assist away to regain the lead, 5-4.
- Brockport added a pair of insurance goals, with Brendan Halleran posting two scores to lift the Green and Gold 7-4 with 7:54 to play.
- Lycoming added a goal to end the game, 7-5.
KEY STATISTICS –
- Brockport outshot the Warrios 25-15.
- The Golden Eagles were 19-22 on clearing attempts.
- Liam O'Connor (1g-3a's) lead the charge for the Green and Gold posting four points.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, March 30 when they host SUNY Oneonta for their first SUNYAC matchup. The game is set to start at 1 p.m.
