Brockport Tramples The Bears

POTSDAM, N.Y. –The College at Brockport women's lacrosse team defeated SUNY Potsdam on the road on Saturday afternoon, by a score of 18-4. With the win, the Golden Eagles move to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in conference, while the Bears fall to 2-7 and 0-3 in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED –
  • The Golden Eagles found themselves in a one-goal deficit early on in the first half as the Bears scored at 22:06 of the frame.
  • Brockport battled back in a big way, scoring 13 goals in a row following the Bears tally.
  • Sara Grapevine (2g) got the Green and Gold started, followed by first half tallies from Hannah Cullen (2g), Chloe Kurst (1), Allison Jennings (4g), Heather Conklin (1g), Jade Williams (1g), Julie Carballo (1g), Erin Wegrzyn (1g).
  • The Bears added a goal to end the opening frame. Brockport entered the half-time break with a 13-2 lead.
  • The Green and Gold went on a five-goal run to start the second half.
  • Victoria Thompson picked up the first of the frame, followed by scores from Cullen, Conklin, Williams, and Carballo.
  • The Bears added two goals to end the half 18-4.
