BROCKPORT, N.Y. –The College at Brockport women's lacrosse team fell to No. 12 St. John Fisher College Wednesday afternoon, by a score of 14-5. With the loss, the Golden Eagles move to 12-3 overall, while the Cardinals improve to 14-1 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED –
- The Golden Eagles fell into a one-goal deficit to start the first half.
- Brockport tallied back-to-back scores to take the lead.
- Victoria Thompson scored the first tally off a feed from Allison Jennings, followed by a Jade Williams score from the stick of Julie Carballo.
- The Cardinals answered with three goals in a row to regain the lead.
- Heather Conklin netted the third Brockport goal to bring the Golden Eagles within one with 11:51 remaining in the half.
- The Cardinals extended their lead once more with six minutes remaining.
- Allison Jennings buried the Green and Golds fourth of the game to bring Brockport within one.
- The Cardinals added another tally to send the Golden Eagles into the half-time break trailing, 6-4.
- Jennings buried the first goal of the second half off a beautiful feed from Chloe Kurst.
- The Cardinals finished the game with eight unanswered goals to take the win.
