Potsdam, NY – The College at Brockport women's soccer team traveled to face Clarkson University on Saturday. The team fell to the Golden Knights, 2-0, as its record drops to 0-2.
Clarkson was able to get on the board early with a goal in the fifth minute to go up 1-0. The host team scored once again right before halftime, securing the final 2-0 lead before the mid-game break.
The Golden Eagles outshot their opponents 12-8 in the contest, which included nine second half shot attempts.
Kiley Longin ripped three shots in the match, placing two of them on net.
Sydnee Smith,
Camryn Pettit,
Lara Kanbur,
Fiona Stockdale, and
Brylie Hapeman all were able to fire a shot that required saving in the loss.
Kimberly Lubanski started in net, making one save in the first half.
Guliana Parisi stepped inside the goal for the second half, stopping two shots in her first appearance of the season.
The Green and Gold will now prepare for the home opener against St. John Fisher. The game is set to kick-off at 4 pm on September 4
th.
