Women's Tennis Heads to Geneseo Tuesday

Brockport, NY – The College at Brockport women's tennis team faces Geneseo on the road Tuesday for more SUNYAC competition. The match begins at 3 pm.
 
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles are coming off a 5-4 victory over the St. John Fisher Cardinals on Sunday, improving their record to 3-2 overall. The team swept doubles play for three crucial points to help secure the win on the road.
 
Singles Momentum: Elizabeth Bean is coming off a hard fought 7-6, 7-6 singles victory at the match against Fisher. The senior is currently undefeated in singles competition for the season and looks to ride this wave of momentum all the way to Geneseo. Freshman, Andrea Banke, also won her singles match against Fisher, with a two set mark of 6-1, 6-3.
 
Duos Recap: The doubles combination of Caroline Stewart and Heather Phillips recently won, 8-7, in the first doubles slot against Fredonia. The pair is currently 2-1 on the year and undefeated in conference play. As a whole, the Golden Eagles are 9-5 in doubles play this season heading into Tuesday's match.
 
Looking at Geneseo: The Knights are currently 3-0, coming off a 6-1 victory over Cortland on Friday. The team is undefeated at 2-0 in SUNYAC play so far this season. Geneseo has been charging through opponents with two of three victories being 9-0 sweeps.
 
Up Next: Brockport is back on the road this weekend, heading to William Smith College for the ITA tournament. The tournament will run from September 21st through the 22nd.
