Brockport, NY – The College at Brockport women's soccer team hosted Cortland on Friday for the first SUNYAC match of the season. The visiting Red Dragons found the back of the net in overtime to steal the win, 3-2.
The Golden Eagles struck first blood early on in the contest, taking a 1-0 lead just three minutes in.

Sydnee Smith, who buried it past the Cortland goalkeeper.
Shortly after the Green and Gold added to the lead, with a second score to go up 2-0 before the 10-minute mark.
Kiley Longin took the cross and blasted a shot to the back of the net. Pettit was credited with the assist yet again, her second of the day.
The Red Dragons would score twice before halftime, to tie the game up at 2-2 going into the mid-game break. Without either team scoring in the second half of play, the match headed to overtime.
In the 96
th minute of the contest, Cortland scored the game-winning goal to take the overtime win over Brockport.

Kayla Usborne made seven saves in net for the Golden Eagles in the loss, as they drop to 4-4-1 overall and 0-1 in SUNYAC play.
Brockport is back home again tomorrow for more conference action, as it hosts Oswego State. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 pm.
