Fredonia, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team lost to Fredonia on the road Friday afternoon, 3-1. Brockport is now 7-8-2 overall and 3-4-1 in SUNYAC play this season.
The Fredonia Blue Devils got on the board first as they scored in the 24
th minute of the contest. Alexis Lindamer scored the goal with assists from Gabby Alston and Sabrina Suriani.
The Golden Eagles would score the equalizer right before halftime to tie the score up at 1-1 going into the break.
Emily Davren would score her first goal of the season, with
Julia Mascaro getting credit for the assist.
Brockport outshot Fredonia 5-2 in the first half. The squad also drew four corner kick opportunities in the first 45 minutes compared to zero for the Blue Devils.
Fredonia would go on to score two more goals in the second half. Gabby Alston scored in the 59
th minute and Kayleigh Daniels scored in the 62
nd minute to make it a 3-1 game. Brockport was unable to get on the board again, falling on the road.
Guliana Parisi made four saves in net for the Green and Gold, playing the full 90 minutes in net.
The Golden Eagles are back in action for another road contest on Saturday. They take on Buffalo State at 1 pm for the final match of the regular season.
