The SUNY Brockport cross country program travels to SUNY Cortland for the 2021 SUNYAC Conference Championships on Saturday. The men's 8K is set to begin at 11 a.m., while the women's 6K will begin at noon.
Awards Ceremony: The post race awards ceremony will begin at 1:30 and it will be
streamed live HERE. The ceremony will take place in the Main Pavilion, adjacent to the race course.
The Awards Ceremony will proceed as follows:
• Men's All Conference Honorees (1st – 15th)
• Men's SUNYAC Hall of Fame Inductees (along with recognition of any other SUNYAC Hall of Fame members present)
• Men's Team Scores and Presentation of the Team Trophy
• Women's All Conference Honorees (1st – 15th)
• Women's SUNYAC Hall of Fame Inductees (along with recognition of any other SUNYAC Hall of Fame members present)
• Women's Team Scores and Presentation of the Team Trophy
*In order to gain induction to the SUNYAC Cross Country Hall of Fame, student-athletes must finish in the top five once, the top ten twice, or the top fifteen three times.

Men's Entries: The Brockport men's team has 16 entries including Ethan Carey, Ben Drzymala, Derek Hutchings, Sean Killip, Thomas Kressly, Nick Markle, Michael McGowan, Sebastian Mills, Matt Quinn, Jack Salzman, Jared Smith, Gavin Vlainich, Gabe Winters-Bona, Ethan Wyman, Christian Zabala, and Jonathan Zavala.
Women's Entries: The women's team has 17 entries including

Competing Teams: Competing teams at the championship include Brockport, Buffalo State, Cortland, Fredonia, Geneseo, New Paltz, Oneonta, Oswego, Plattsburgh, and Potsdam.
Last Time Out: The Brockport cross country teams competed in the inter-regional rumble in Oberlin, Ohio on Oct. 16
th. The men's team collected 314 points and placed ninth overall out of 35 teams. Senior Ethan Carey led the way for the men in the 8K finishing 11th out of 306 competitors with a time of 25:51.9, running an average 5:12.2 mile. For the women in the 6K, they placed 16th out of 33 total teams in the meet collecting 467 points.
Kerry Flower was the team's top racer finishing 32nd overall out of 302 total racers. For the men, Jared Smith placed 52nd overall with his time of 27:00.8. Jonathan Zavala tagged along right behind Smith for a 54th place finish and time of 27:02.5. Following behind Flower on the women's team was freshman
Meredith Masker who took home 99th place with her time of 24:40.0. Junior runner
Veronica Dailey was the next Brockport women's runner to finish as she took home 119th overall recording a time of 24:59.4.
Weekly Honors: Ethan Carey was named the SUNYAC Runner of the Week back on Sept. 7th.
Setting the Pace: Junior
Kerry Flower moved into the Top 15 on the program's all-time 6K list this season after posting a time of 22:57 at the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by Geneseo back in early October. Ethan Carey moved into 1tth place on the program's all-time 8K list following his time of 25:35.5 at Geneseo in early October.
Upcoming: The NCAA Niagara Region Championships will take place on Saturday, Nov. 13
th hosted by SUNY Geneseo at the National Warplane Museum. The men's race 8K begins at 11 a.m. while the women's 6K starts at noon.
