Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team hosted Cortland for a SUNYAC contest on Saturday. Brockport dropped to 5-6-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the conference after the 3-0 loss at home.
It was Senior Day for the Golden Eagles, as
Kayla Bailey,
Emily Davren,
Guliana Parisi,
Sydnee Smith, and
Ellen Walpole were all celebrated prior to the start of the match. All five seniors started the game, which will be the last home SUNYAC contest of their senior year.
The visiting Red Dragons got on the board late in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead just before the 35-minute mark. Senior goalie
Guliana Parisi made three saves in the first half, finishing with five total for the game.
Cortland would score again early in the second half, going up 2-0 less than two minutes into the period. Another goal for the Red Dragons would give them a 3-0 lead late in the game, as they took the three-score victory.
The shot counter was fairly even, despite the score, as Brockport had 10 shots while Cortland registered 12. All 10 of the shots from the Green and Gold required saving in the match. Seniors

Ellen Walpole combined for five shots on goal.
Sophia DeAngelo,
Camryn Pettit,
Karlie Mann, and
Hailey Mitchell also combined for five shots on net in the loss. Brockport drew four corner kicks, earning one more than the opponent on the day.
The Golden Eagles return home for their final home competition of the regular season on Tuesday, October 12
th. They take on SUNY Canton for a non-conference matchup at 3 pm.
