Brockport Tops Medaille and Advances to Championship of Tip-Off Tournament

Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's basketball team hosted Medaille College on Friday night for its first game of the season. Brockport starts the year out 1-0 with its 69-50 win over the visiting Mavericks.

Today was the first day of action for the Brockport Tip-Off Tournament, as the win pushes the Green and Gold on to the Championship Game at 3 pm on Saturday against Morrisville. Medaille and Keuka will play in the Consolation Game at 1 pm on Saturday after both teams lost on day one.

Anna Felice led the Golden Eagles in scoring, as the junior posted a career-high 16 points. Anna Lee shot 3-for-5 from beyond the arc to finish with 12 points in her collegiate debut. Erin Nolan was incredibly efficient in scoring her 12 points, shooting 4-for-6 from the floor and 4-for-4 at the foul line.

In her first game wearing the Brockport colors, Molly Mahony led the squad with seven boards. Mahony was joined by Kylee Rosbrook and Chelsea Henry with two steals apiece. Rosbrook and Henry also contributed with 11 rebounds combined.
