Women's Basketball Wins 4th Straight Tip-Off Tournament Championship

Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's basketball team defeated Morrisville in the Brockport Tip-Off Championship Game, 70-40, on Saturday. Anna Felice was named the Tournament MVP and teammate Kylee Rosbrook was selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Anna Felice led Brockport in scoring for the second straight game, finishing with 15 points while going 4-for-8 from beyond the 3-point arc. Kylee Rosbrook posted her first double-double of her senior season, tallying 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Eliza Conyers added 11 points and five boards in 13 minutes off the bench, notching her first double-digit scoring performance wearing the Green and Gold. Serena Sordetto shot an efficient 4-for-5 from the field to register nine points and six rebounds off the bench.

Freshman Zoe Zutes came away with eight rebounds in the contest. Anna Lee hooked her teammates up with five assists. The Brockport bench outscored the Morrisville reserves, 37-13, and dominated the paint with a 36-2 advantage in points in the paint.

The Golden Eagles worked to take a small lead in the first quarter, going up 11-8 before the beginning of the second. They took flight with a huge second quarter, outscoring the Mustangs 25-6 in the period to go up 36-14 at halftime. Holding a large lead, Brockport would cruise through the second half to take the 30-point blowout win and secure its fourth Tip-Off Championship in a row.

Morrisville was led by Dezia Becker in the contest, as she scored 14 points thanks to her 4-for-9 shooting from 3-point territory. The Mustangs shot a total of 43 shots from long range in the game, and only made two field goals that were not from beyond the arc. Despite her struggles on offense in the Championship Game, All-Tournament Team Selection Cara Walker finished with eight rebounds and three steals to lead the team. The Mustangs are now 2-1 on the season after the weekend.
