Rochester, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's basketball team improves to 3-0 to start the season with a 69-65 win over the University of Rochester on the road. Junior 
Anna Felice led the way with a career-high 24 points, as Brockport hands U of R its first loss of the season.
 
Anna Felice led all scorers on the night as she finished with 24 points shooting 5-for-8 from long range. After previously putting up a career-high 16 points in the season opener against Medaille, Felice raises the bar with her big night against Rochester. She is now averaging 18.3 points per game so far this year.
 
Kylee Rosbrook reached double-digit scoring for her second straight game, finishing with 11 points and seven rebounds. 
Molly Mahony had her best game since joining the Green and Gold with eight points and 10 boards. Rosbrook added two blocks and Mahony came away with three steals defensively.
 
Forwards 
Erin Nolan and 
Serena Sordetto both contributed as well for Brockport in the road victory. The pair combined for 15 points and 11 rebounds in the contest. The Golden Eagles continue to outrebound their opponents for a third game in a row, earning a 48-38 rebounding edge over the Yellowjackets.
 
The U of R was in control early, jumping out to a quick 12-2 lead in the first quarter. Trailing 14-5, 
Zoe Zutes and 
Serena Sordetto provided a spark off the bench to cut into the lead. 
Anna Felice would hit back-to-back shots from deep to give Brockport its first lead of the game at 17-16 to end the quarter. The teams went back and forth in the second, as the Yellowjackets fought to take a two-point advantage heading into halftime.
 
After leading 32-30 at the break, Rochester's jump shot was falling early on in the third quarter as the team increased its lead to 40-32. However, Brockport would outscore its opponent 22-19 in the period thanks to scoring contributions from six different players.

Hali Lucia all scored for the team in the third to give Brockport a 52-51 lead going into the fourth. The Golden Eagles sealed the deal at the foul line in the final quarter, shooting 9-for-10 at the charity stripe in the period to earn the 69-65 victory.
 
The U of R Yellowjackets had three double-digit scorers in the contest, as they suffer their first loss of the season and move to 3-1. Hannah Lindemuth and Alexis Sestric led the team with 18 points each on the night. Julianna Okoniewski poured in 10 points, while Maura Leverone and Callie McCulley each snagged eight rebounds. Rochester now prepares for matchups against Nazareth and St. John Fisher this weekend.
 
The Golden Eagles now look to continue their hot start as they hit the road again on Saturday. They travel to Geneva, NY to face the William Smith College Herons for a 4 pm tip-off.
