15 members of the Brockport football team earned Empire 8 All-Conference recognition in a release by the conference office on Thursday. Nine Golden Eagles earned first team recognition, including junior running back

Three Golden Eagles were named to the All-Conference Second Team including sophomore offensive lineman

Dan Giangrasso earned third team recognition. Senior linebacker
Andrew Covais was named Brockport's representative on the Sportsman of the Year team.
Brockport has won four of its last five games and is currently 7-3 overall heading into Saturday's ECAC Clayton Chapman Bowl Game against visiting Washington & Jefferson (1 p.m.). Brockport has made it to postseason play in five consecutive seasons, including three trips to NCAA's and two ECAC Bowl Games. Over the course of the last four seasons the Golden Eagles have compiled 40 wins.
Greenwood and Jenkins are both making their third straight appearance on an all-conference team. Lodini is now a two-time first team selection, while Coad is making his first appearance on the all-conference first team after earning second team recognition in 2019. Cromer and Harris are both making their second straight all-conference appearance as well.
First Team Offense
Jala Coad, Jr., RB
Coad is among some of the top running backs in the country in several statistical category's this season. He has been named the Empire 8 Conference Offensive Player of the Week three times for his efforts and he was also a D3football.com National Team of the Week selection this season. He has at least one touchdown in nine of ten games this season. He finished the regular season ranked ninth nationally in rushing yards (career-high 1,198) and he also led the conference in rushing TD's (15) and scoring (10.2 points per game). He scored 43 more points and rushed for 328 more yards than any other player in the Empire 8 this season. Over the course of three seasons, he has 2,747 rushing yards to go along with 40 total touchdowns (37 rushing, three receiving). He ranks 12th nationally with 102 points scored.
Luke Lodini, Sr., OL
Lodini, a captain, was named a D3football.com Preseason First Team All-American and he's making his second straight all-conference first team appearance. He helped pave the way for one of the top offensive units in the Empire 8. The Golden Eagles finished the season ranked second in the league in scoring with an average of 25.2 points per game. Brockport's offense finished ranked second in the E8 with an average of 323.7 total yards per game.
Scott Ochsner, Jr., OL
Ochsner, a 6-foot-8 320-pound left tackle, is making his first all-conference appearance for the Golden Eagles. He protected the blindside for freshman quarterback
Jack Cheshire who completed 152 passes for 1,503 yards and six touchdowns through the air. He helped Brockport garner the second-best total rushing yards in the league this season as the Golden Eagles rolled up 1,734 total yards on the ground.
Imhotep Cromer, Sr., WR
Cromer finished the regular season ranked second in the league with an average of 5.6 receptions per game. He ranks second the E8 with 647 receiving yards for an average of 64.7 yards per game. He has caught seven or more balls in five of ten games, including a season-high 10 in Brockport's season opening win over Framingham. He also has three total touchdowns (two receiving, one rushing). Over the course of two seasons in the green and gold he totaled 94 catches for 1,346 yards and six touchdowns through the air. He also added one rushing TD this past season.
First Team Defense
Josh Greenwood, Sr., DL
Greenwood is making his third straight appearance on an all-conference team and he finished the regular season ranked second in the conference with a career-high 15.0 tackles for a loss. He also tied for third in the conference with 5.5 sacks and third on the team with a career-high 49 total tackles. Over the course of four seasons, he totaled 140 tackles, 43.5 tackles for a loss, 20.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.
Jordan Harris, Jr., DL
Harris demanded two blockers in the middle all season long and has developed into one of the top interior defensive linemen in the Empire 8. He finished his junior season with a career-high 24 tackles and 5.5 tackles for a loss to go along with 1.5 sacks. In three seasons he has totaled 44 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss and 4.0 sacks.
Ben Damiani, Jr., LB
Damiani had a breakout year for the Golden Eagles as he finished the season ranked ninth in the conference with a team-best and career-high 69 total tackles. He posted a career-high ten tackles and added a sack in Brockport's win at Buffalo State. In three seasons at Brockport, he has 110 tackles, 18.5 tackles for a loss, five sacks and one interception.
Lawrence Jenkins, Sr., LB
Jenkins, a captain, is making his third straight all-conference selection after wrapping up the regular season ranked fourth on the team with 46 tackles. He picked off three passes this season and returned all three of them for a touchdown. He ranked second on the team with 11.5 tackles for a loss and he also added two sacks. He scored his first offensive touchdown this season as he punched in a goal line rushing TD at Buffalo State. In four seasons at Brockport, he is the active career leader with 191 total tackles, and he also has 42.0 tackles for a loss to go along with 11.0 sacks and seven INT's.
Alaan Montgomery, Sr., DB
Montgomery is in the midst of his best season to date and has tied the program's single season record with nine interceptions. He leads all levels of college football (FBS, FCS, Div. II, Div. III) with an average of .9 interceptions per game. He also added 28 tackles, two tackles for a loss and seven pass breakups. 19 of his 28 tackles were solo. Over the course of his career, he has 12 interceptions, 13 pass breakups and 66 total tackles.
Second Team Offense
Nicholas Kalke, So., OL
Kalke is making his first career appearance on an all-conference team and he is one of three all-conference offensive lineman this season for the Golden Eagles. He helped Brockport's offense finish the regular season ranked second in the E8 with an average of 323.7 total yards per game while also averaging 25+ points per contest.
Second Team Defense/Special Teams
Ben Marshall, Jr., DB
Marshall is making his first all-conference appearance after posting a career-high 38 tackles, 3.0 tackles for a loss, seven pass breakups and two interceptions this past season. Over the course of three seasons in the green and gold he has 97 tackles, three interceptions and 21 pass breakups.
Nate Wigent, Fr., K
Freshman kicker
Nate Wigent finished the regular season ranked sixth nationally and first in the conference with a .818 field goal percentage. He also ranks in the top 25 nationally with an average of .9 field goals per game. He has made at least one field goal in 7-of-10 games this year, including a career-long 43 yarder in the season opener at Framingham. He is also 29-for-31 on extra point opportunities this year and he ranks second on the team with 56 total points.
Third Team Offense
James Altenburger, So., TE
Altenburger is making his first career all-conference team after finishing the regular season with 13 catches for 167 yards. He averaged 12.85 yards per catch this season. He has caught at least one ball in each of the last five games. His best game of the season so far came against Buffalo State when he caught four balls for 72 yards, including a career long 41-yard reception.

Dan Giangrasso, Fr., P,
Freshman punter
Dan Giangrasso was named to the all-conference third team. He ranks in the top 50 nationally and second in the Empire 8 Conference with an average of 37.7 yards per punt this season. He finished the regular season with a long of 58 yards, four punts of 50+ yards and 19 punts inside the 20-yard line.
Sportsman of the Year
Andrew Covais, Sr., LB
Covais was an all-conference honorable mention selection back in 2019 and he is making his first appearance as Brockport's sportsman of the year. He finished the regular season ranked second on the team with 62 total tackles, 8.0 tackles for a loss, 4.0 sacks, two interceptions and three pass breakups. Over the course of four seasons at Brockport he has 120 tackles, 12.5 TFL's, seven pass breakups, five interceptions and 5.5 sacks. One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2021 Football Sportsman of the Year Team. Empire 8 emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.
