Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's basketball lost its first game at home since February of 2019 on Saturday, falling to Oswego, 85-58. The loss snaps a 19-game win streak at The Vlog and a five-game win streak this season, as Brockport is now 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the SUNYAC.
David Grady III was the only Golden Eagle to hit double-figures, finishing with 13 points, six blocks, and five rebounds.
Devante Hagins had eight points, six rebounds, two steals and one block.
Antonio Alvarez and
Damario James both had eight points as well.
Oswego jumped out to an early 9-0 lead in the early moments of the first half. Brockport would go on a run of its own to bounce back and take an 11-9 lead. It was soon after that the visiting Lakers would start to roll and take a commanding lead. Brockport entered halftime trailing, 51-26. Despite their efforts to recapture some momentum in the second half, the Golden Eagles were unable to cut into the lead. The Lakers would cruise through the finish line to earn the 27-point victory.
Oswego improves to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the SUNYAC behind a full team effort. The team had four players hit double digits in the scoring column, as Ahkee Anderson led the way with 16 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
The Golden Eagles are on the road Friday, December 10
th for a quick road trip to Buffalo State. This SUNYAC conference matchup is set to tip-off at 7:30 pm.
