The home team then rattled of three consecutive goals in a span of 7:10 to take a 4-3 lead with 13:28 left in the first half of play.  Brockport made it 4-4 at 8:35 after Strough posted her first goal of the season, but the Knights answered with four straight goals to close out the half with a commanding 8-4 advantage.

The Golden Eagles would not go down without a fight and netted four of the first six goals in the second half to cut their deficit to 10-8 with 17:49 to go in the contest.  Brockport was ultimately able to outscore the home team 8-7 in second half, but Geneseo's four goal first half lead proved to be too much for the Golden Eagles in the 15-12 loss.
