The Red Dragons owned the first quarter, taking a 5-0 lead into the second. After a few more Cortland scores, Brockport's Patrick Sheridan and jack Peterson found the back of the net to get on the board. Blake Palozzi's goal with 2:13 left in the half helped cut the lead to 10-3 at the break.

With the third quarter being another 5-0 period for Cortland, the Green and Gold trailed by 12 at the start of the final period. Goals by Brandon Sveda and Sean Duffy down the stretch were not enough to spark a comeback, as the Red Dragons cruised to a 19-5 win.

Cortland was led by Pay Doyen and Zak Jones, who both posted four points in the contest. Brian Williams scooped up five ground balls while going 8-for-14 in faceoffs.
