Buffalo, NY – The No. 17 Brockport women's lacrosse team won its sixth straight contest on Friday with a 23-2 victory on the road against Buffalo State. The Green and Gold are now 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the SUNYAC.
Heather Conklin continues to roll with five goals and one assist in the game. Freshman
Logan Hibbard scored a career-high four goals and had one assist to put up a career-high of five points.
Danielle Hemly also notched a career-high of five points, coming from one goal and a career-high four assists.
Natalie Strough and
Anna Leva each registered three scores in the road win, while
Alexandria VanDerKar had two goals.
Courtney Cunningham posted four points with one goal and three helpers.

Logan Hibbard both found the back of the net less than two minutes into the start of play to give Brockport an early 2-0 advantage. Hibbard would do all of her scoring in the first half, tallying all four goals and her assist before halftime. Buffalo State earned two goals, but the opening half belonged to the Golden Eagles by a score of 13-2.
The second half featured more dominance by the nationally ranked Green and Gold on the road. The team scored 10 more unanswered goals in the second, which brought around the 23-2 final count.
Brockport outshot Buffalo State, 43-6, and won the draw control battle, 20-6.
Lyndsie Pratt was fantastic in draw control situations, winning eight draws in the win.
Cassidy Burnash finished with two goals, two assists, and a team-high two caused turnovers.
Morgan Elmer and
Erin Lant split time in net, as they each made one save.
Julia Wachna scored both the goals for Buffalo State, while Sydney Watters earned one assist. Goalkeeper Janae Nelson had 12 saves as the Bengals are now 0-6 overall and 0-5 in SUNYAC play.
The Golden Eagles are on the road again Saturday for another conference battle with Oswego. Game is scheduled for a 1 pm start.
