Brockport, NY – The Brockport men's lacrosse team will finish up its 2021 season on Friday, as the team travels to Geneseo. This SUNYAC battle will begin at 4 pm.

Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles struggled at home against Cortland in their last game, losing 16-4. The visiting team took an 11-0 halftime lead which set the way for the 12-goal win for the Red Dragons.

Owen VanWie, and
Rocco Santillo all were able to register one goal.
John Felice made 12 saves in net in the loss. Brockport's record is now 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the SUNYAC.
Goal Scorers: Jack Peterson leads the Green and Gold attack with seven goals this season.
Owen VanWie is right behind Peterson, tallying six scores for the squad. Junior
Rocco Santillo is the third leading goal scorer, beating the opposing goalie five times.
Helping Hands: Liam O'Connor is the leading assist man on the roster, earning credit for four helpers. Peterson and VanWie each have three assists on the year.
Brandon Sveda,
Peter Scavone, and
DJ Stramonine all have been credited with two assists this season.
Causing Problems: Aidan Fitzgerald has disrupted opposing offenses with a team-best 14 caused turnovers in 2021. He is also second on the team with 23 ground balls.
Jahadi Prior is second with eight turnovers caused.
Dallas Whitney,
Max Riley, and
James Mirabell have all caused seven turnovers.
In the Cage: John Felice has been the starter in goal all season, starting all six of the games for Brockport. Felice owns a .458 save percentage and has made 49 saves in his junior campaign. Facing 188 shots this season, the goalie is allowing 10.87 goals per game.
Against Geneseo: This will be the second meeting between these two teams, as Geneseo emerged with a 16-7 win over Brockport last time. The Knights are 4-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference, as they are fighting for the right to a home game in the postseason.
Jack Peterson and
Liam O'Connor both finished with three total points earlier this season when facing Geneseo.
Closing the Chapter: With Brockport being eliminated from postseason contention, the matchup with Geneseo will bring a close to the 2021 season.
