Brockport, NY – The No. 16 Brockport Women's Lacrosse team defeated Nazareth, 12-5, at home on Tuesday. This makes it three straight for Brockport and puts the team at 3-2 overall and 2-1 in SUNYAC competition.
 
Heather Conklin led the way with five goals and one assist for a six-point total on the day. Now with 184 career goals, Conklin is tied with 
Kelly Wall for first all-time in program history. Her next score will set a new school record for goals in a career.
 
With 17 saves in the cage for Brockport, 
Morgan Elmer sets a new career-high for saves in a game. Elmer came up big with seven saves on eight free position attempts by Nazareth.
 
Brockport got on the board first with three goals in quick succession, all coming within the same two-minute window, to take an early 3-0 lead. Another goal by the Green and Gold was quickly answered by Nazareth, making the score 4-1. Each team would find the back of the net once more before the mid-game break, as Brockport held a 5-2 edge.
 
Heather Conklin and 
Cassidy Burnash both scored twice in the opening half, while 
Danielle Hemly found the back of the net once. 
Natalie Strough and 
Allison Jennings each had two assists going into halftime.
 
The Golden Eagles would continue to build on their lead with four more scores in the first 10 minutes of the second half to take a 9-2 lead. Nazareth got back in the scoring column with 20:21 on the clock to halt the momentum. Brockport would score a few more goals in response to the Golden Flyers, which helped secure the seven-goal victory.
 
Morgan Elmer made 11 second half saves in the contest, including several stops on Nazareth free position opportunities. Conklin would beat the Nazareth goalie three more times in the second half.
 
Danielle Hemly finished with four points off of two assists and two goals. 
Allison Jennings had three points from one goal and two assists. 
Logan Hibbard and 
Natalie Strough each tallied three points in the contest.
 
Lauren Caldwell scored twice for the Golden Flyers, while teammate Emma Robinson registered three assists. Goalkeeper made 11 saves for Nazareth, as the team is now 3-4 overall on the season.
 
The Golden Eagles return to action tomorrow for an away matchup with Buffalo State. This SUNYAC contest will begin at 4 pm out in Buffalo, NY.
