Nolan's Season-High Not Enough in Loss to Oneonta

Oneonta, NY – Erin Nolan had a season-high 18 points and added nine rebounds on the road, but Brockport lost to the Oneonta Red Dragons, 63-55. After a fifth straight loss, the Golden Eagles are now 8-8 overall and 3-7 in the SUNYAC.
 
Nolan led all scorers in the contest, shooting 7-for-13 from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 at the charity stripe. Kylee Rosbrook was the only other player in double figures for the Green and Gold, finishing with 11 points on 5-for-10 shooting.
 
Erin Radack and Hali Lucia got the opportunity to start in the contest for Brockport. The guard pairing combined for 12 points, eight assists, and five steals. Juan Brown scored an efficient six points, 2-for-2 from the field and 2-for-2 at the line, in just eight minutes of action.
 
A quick 6-0 run for the Golden Eagles gave them an early lead in the first quarter. Oneonta would respond, making it a 12-11 lead for Brockport with 1:28 left. Brockport would edge out a 3-point lead going into the second quarter. Oneonta won the quarter, 14-9, as the home team snagged a 27-25 lead at the break.
 
The score would quickly get tied up at 31-31 early on in the third quarter. The Red Dragons took advantage of their advantage on the offensive glass, as they worked to earn a 45-40 lead going into the fourth quarter. After Oneonta extended its lead to nine points, a spurt from the Golden Eagles made it a 3-point game with five minutes remaining. Oneonta was solid at the free throw line all quarter to keep Brockport from getting over the hump. The home team earned the 8-point win over the Green and Gold.
 
Rebounding was the story for Oneonta, as it outrebounded Brockport, 50-22. The team had 23 rebounds on the offensive end alone. Olivia Dobrovosky had a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards. Nadia Brown and Molly Stephens scored 14 and 12 points respectively. The Red Dragons are now 10-7 overall and 7-3 in the conference.
 
The Golden Eagles are back at home for a crucial SUNYAC matchup with Plattsburgh, as they look to bounce back with a win. The annual We Back Pat game is scheduled for a 5:30 pm tip-off on Friday, January 28th.
