Brockport Falls to Geneseo at Home

Brockport, NY- the SUNY Brockport women's soccer team fell to SUNY Geneseo, 2-0, at home on Wednesday. Brockport now sits at 4-6-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the SUNYAC. Geneseo remains unbeaten in the conference with a record of 5-0-1 and a mark of 8-3-2 overall.
 
After a scoreless 30 minutes to start the match, Geneseo's Liv Raucci put the first score on the board. Raucci was assisted by teammate Abby Foster, putting the Knights up 1-0 going into halftime. 

Early on in the second half, Lindsay Wright scored to put Geneseo up 2-0. She was assisted by Hannah Sullivan, and the Knights would hold on to its lead for the two-goal victory.
 
The Golden Eagles recorded a total of eight shots in the contest. Emily Maczka and Franchesca Polcaro led the team with two shots each. Lyndsey Miller, Kiley Longin, Julia Mascaro and Lucy Crounse all recorded shots for the Green and Gold. 
 
Kayla Usborne and Madeline McCrosson both saw time in the net tonight. Usborne guarded the net in the first half making four saves and allowing one goal. McCrosson was in the net in the second half, making one save and also allowing one goal.
 
The Golden Eagles will play at home again vs the New Paltz Hawks at 1pm on Saturday, October 15th. It will be Senior Day for the squad as the team plays in a crucial SUNYAC match.
