Oswego, NY – The SUNY Brockport field hockey team defeated Oswego, 1-0, on the road Saturday afternoon. Brockport grabs a big win in SUNYAC play, improving to 8-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
At 11:50 in the first quarter,
Paige Thowe scored an unassisted goal for the only point of the match. The Golden Eagles held onto the one-goal lead the whole way, as they make it three wins in a row.
Brockport outshout Oswego, 16-10, in the game with 11 of those shots being on frame. The team had a slight edge, 9-8, in penalty corner opportunities.
Ella Buchanan came up with five big saves on the day, keeping the Lakers off the scoreboard.
The Golden Eagles are back on the road for their next outing, when the travel to face Wells College. The game is scheduled for a 4pm start on Tuesday, October 18
