Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's volleyball team remain undefeated in conference play, after defeating the Oswego State Lakers in a three-set sweep on Friday night. Brockport won 3-0 with the final set scores of 28-26, 25-21, and 25-18.
The Golden Eagles are now 14-4 overall and 4-0 in the SUNYAC. With the loss, Oswego moves to 15-7 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
Before the match, Brockport recognized its five senior athletes and two senior student-assistant coaches for their dedication to the program. The seniors include:

The Golden Eagles battled Oswego for every point in this match. They earned a slight edge in points throughout the match, 50-40. The teams were even in kills with 35 a piece, but Oswego had more digs and assists. However, Brockport had a significant advantage in aces (7 to 2), and controlled the net with eight blocks compared to Oswego's three.
Jordan Thompson continues her red-hot season, leading all players in the match with 11.5 points. She finished with nine kills, three total blocks, and nine digs. Fifth Year
Myah Frostclapp tied with Oswego's Sydney Chiffriller for the second most points on the night with 10.0. She posted seven kills across 18 total attacks, two solo blocks, two block assists, and a dig.
Defensively,
Andrea Coyle finished tied with two Oswego players for the most digs, coming up with 12 in the match. Teammate and reigning SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Week
Madalyn Bowen ended the match with 10 digs.
The 2022 Homecoming matchup on Saturday is a potential postseason preview, as the Golden Eagles (14-4, 4-0 SUNYAC) welcome conference rival and defending SUNYAC champion Cortland (12-3, 6-0 SUNYAC) into the nest. A battle of the unbeatens in the SUNYAC, this battle features two teams in the top three in the conference in several statistical categories.
Brockport will take on Cortland at 1:00pm in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium on Saturday, October 8.
