Rochester, NY – The RIT Tigers had a big second half to hand Brockport a, 68-43- loss on the road. The Golden Eagles are now 1-2 overall on the season.
With a career-high 11 points off the bench,
Juan Brown led Brockport in scoring on the night. She was 3-for-5 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 at the line.
Zairea Hannah also hit double-digits in the scoring column, finishing with 10 points and eight rebounds. She hit 6 out of 8 shots at the free throw line and also came up with three steals defensively.
The Golden Eagles got off to a solid start, as they earned an early 6-0 lead. RIT was able to answer and wound up with an 11-10 advantage after the first quarter.
To start the second, RIT stretched its lead to seven points quickly. Back-to-back makes from beyond the arc by
Anna Lee and
Juan Brown brought the lead back to the Green and Gold. Brockport held a 3-point edge at the half.
RIT changed the game completely with an incredible offensive showing in the second half. The Tigers went on to score 25 points in the third and 24 more in the fourth. They outscored Brockport 49-21 in the second half for the win.
After the Thanksgiving holiday break, the Golden Eagles return to action for the first conference game of the season. They travel to take on Buffalo State on Tuesday, November 29
th at 5:30pm.
