Buffalo, NY – Freshman Elizabeth Sagan was crowned champion of the women's 50-yard freestyle event on day two of the SUNYAC Swim and Dive Championships. She swam a time of 23.97 in the finals to take first place, becoming Brockport's first winner for the event since 2017.
Sagan was joined on the podium by Sawyer Parker, Emily Meissner, and Nicole Orcutt for second place in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay. The squad finished in 1:38.60 to cut nearly three seconds off of its seeding time of 1:41.30 to take silver in the event.
Kyra Russ also earned some hardware for her performance on the 1-meter diving board. The freshman accumulated a score of 432.80 to place third in the event, getting her first career podium finish. Teammate Ren Watson placed eighth in the competition with her finals score of 371.00.
With a time of 3:45.66, the men's 400-yard medley relay team cut nearly eight seconds off of the seeding time of 3:53.97.

Billy Tolpa teamed up to place seventh in the relay event.
Sawyer Parker, Allison Morrow, Bri Owen, and Nicole Orcutt swam a time of 4:11.59 in the women's 400-yard medley relay. They took almost five full seconds off of their 4:16.44 seeding time, on the way to a sixth-place finish.

Oliver Dragojevic swam a time of 1:30.50 to place eighth.
Individually, Nicole Orcutt placed eighth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:24.12.
After day two of the SUNYAC Championships, the women are in hold of third place still with a total of 173 points. The men are sitting in seventh place with 92 points. The Golden Eagles continue their work at SUNYACs tomorrow for day three of the meet.
