The SUNY Brockport men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 14-0 lead at the half and never looked back as the Golden Eagles cruised to an 18-3 decision on the road at Keuka on Monday to pick up their third win of the young season. 15 different players registered at least one point in the victory while
Cam Kremer,
Nate Askin and
Ryan Haugh each registered their first career goal. Five Golden Eagles recorded three points including
Patrick Sheridan,
Jack Peterson,
Ryan McCarthy,
Jhovanny Olivares and
Rocco Santillo.

Aidan Fitzgerald continued his dominance with 10 ground balls, five caused turnovers and one assist, while
Ethan Stiles won 14-of-16 face-offs to control possession for Brockport. Stiles also picked up five ground balls.
The last time Brockport started the season with a 3-1 record was back in 2016 when they finished the year with a school-record 12 wins and advanced as far as the SUNYAC Championship game. Brockport returns to action on Wednesday when the Golden Eagles host Hilbert College for non-conference action at Bob Boozer Field. The contest is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
The Golden Eagles dominated from the opening quarter, jumping out to a quick 9-0 lead in the first 15-minute stretch. Sheridan, Santillo, and McCarthy each registered two first quarter goals, while
Owen VanWie,
Nelson Logan and
Jack Peterson each scored one. Olivares registered an assist on two of the game's first three goals for Brockport.
Brockport added five more second quarter goals to extend their lead to double digits.
Nate Askin led the way with two goals in the 15-minute stretch, while Sheridan, McCarthy and Ethan Barret each added one. Santillo and
Ben Hay each posted one second quarter assist.
Brockport outscored the home team 4-3 in the final 20 minutes of action. Barrett netted his second of the day and fourth of the year, while Peterson, Haugh and Kremer each tallied a fourth quarter goal to close out the scoring on the day.
Brockport outshot Keuka 47-21 on the day. Four goalies saw action in net for Brockport.
John Felice picked up his third win of the season, while
Cameron Kuzniar stopped four shots.
Evan O'Connor and
John Acker also saw time between the pipes for Brockport.
Nelson Logan finished the day with one goal and one assist, while
Mitch Carlson also added an assist for the Golden Eagles.
Sheridan leads Brockport this season with 14 points (10 goals, four assists), while Peterson ranks second with 13 points on a team-high 11 goals and two assists. Olivares leads Bport with six assists on the year.
