Golden Eagles Travel to St. John Fisher for Another Top-25 Matchup

Brockport, NY – The No. 14 SUNY Brockport women's lacrosse team is on the road this Saturday for a matchup with No. 21 St. John Fisher. This top-25 matchup is scheduled to begin at 3 pm out in Rochester, NY.

Last Week: With two top-25 opponents on the schedule last week, the Green and Gold had the chance to see more top-notch competition before conference play begins. The team first took on No. 7 William Smith on the road last Wednesday. The Herons took the, 14-10, win to hand Brockport its first loss of the season. The No. 25 St. Lawrence Saints then spoiled Brockport's home opener, 15-12, which pushed the squads record to 2-2.

In the Rankings: Brockport remains inside the top-15 of the most recent poll released by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Monday. After losses to No. 7 William Smith and No. 25 St. Lawrence, the squad moved from No. 10 to No. 14 this week. With yet another top-25 team on the schedule in No. 21 St. John Fisher, Brockport aims to get back into the top-10 with a big win this weekend.

Logan Hibbard leads the way with 16 points on nine goals and a team-high seven assists. Cassidy Burnash and Allison Jennings are the top two goal scorers, with 12 and 11 goals respectively. Freshman Alayna Foos and teammate Claire Odett both have 10 points so far as well. Foos has seven goals and three assists, while Odett has tallied six goals and four assists.

Elmer's Net: Senior goalie Morgan Elmer has been fantastic in net so far this season. Already a two-time defensive athlete of the week winner, Elmer has double-digit saves in every game and had 20 or more twice.

Upcoming Career Milestones: Both Head Coach Stephen Wagner and senior attacker Allison Jennings are on the verge of some impressive milestones. With 197 wins for his career, Coach Wagner is just three away from logging the 200th win of his career. Jennings is entering the weekend with 97 goals for her career, needing just three to become the 14th player in program history to break the century mark.
