Rochester, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 on the season after a dominant, 16-3, victory over Nazareth on the road. No. 12 Brockport got off to a hot start and just kept the momentum rolling through the finish line.

Logan Hibbard notched a career-high with 8 points to lead the Green and Gold. She had four goals and four assists, getting her first hat trick of the year. This week's PrestoSports Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week
Morgan Elmer was a brick wall in net. She made a career-high 22 saves in the game, which is just two short of the program's single-game record.
Cassidy Burnash and
Allison Jennings both remained hot on the offensive end. Burnash had a season-high four goals in the contest, notching her second consecutive hat trick. Jennings also recorded her second straight hat trick with three goals in the outing.
Alayna Foos had another strong showing in her young collegiate career. She had two goals and one assist for three points in the game. Teammate
Claire Odett had a season-high three points with one goal and two helpers.
Courtney Cunningham filled the stat sheet with two goals, three ground balls, a team-high two caused turnovers and a team-high four draw controls.
Cassidy Burnash got the party started for the Golden Eagles with a goal in the first two minutes of the game. Although Nazareth would answer quickly to tie the score up at 1-1, the Golden Eagles continued to pour it on. They would earn a 6-1 lead after one, as
Logan Hibbard had two goals and one assist in the quarter. Burnash would score her second goal of the contest late in the second quarter, with no other goals occurring before halftime. Brockport led Nazareth 7-1 at the mid-game break.
Brockport continued to add on to the lead in the third quarter, as
Logan Hibbard would complete her first hat trick of the season. Burnash would also earn a hat trick with her third goal of the game, helping the squad hold a 12-2 lead going into the final period. The Golden Eagles continued their assault in the fourth, outscoring Nazareth 4-1 in the quarter. They were in control from start to finish on the way to a convincing, 13-point victory.
The Golden Flyers drop to 0-2 on the season after Wednesday's loss. Although they won the turnover battle and the shots were about even, Brockport's
Morgan Elmer kept them 0-7 on the free position.
Brockport is back in action next Wednesday for a big time top-15 matchup against William Smith College. No. 12 Brockport travels to take on No. 7 William Smith for a 4 pm start on March 16
th.
