BROCKPORT, NY – The SUNY Brockport mem's lacrosse team will travel to Plattsburgh, NY on Saturday, April 16th to face off in a SUNYAC game against the Cardinals at 1:00 pm
 
The Brockport men's lacrosse team is off to a 7-3 start and recently fell to the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons this past Friday.  Senior attack Jack Peterson led the Golden Eagles with two points scoring two goals in the game. Aidan Fitzgerald, Blake Palozzi, Nate Askin, Jhovanny Olivares, and Rocco Santillo all scored one goal in the game. Ethan Stiles picked up a total of eight ground balls against the Red Dragons as the face-off man also went 16-23 off the draw while Aidan Fitzgerald led the team with three caused turnovers.
 
National Statistics Spotlight: Ethan Stiles, the Golden Eagles Face-Off man ranks as the 20th best FOGO in Division III and the best in the SUNYAC with a 0.661 Face-Off Winning Percentage. Long Stick Midfielder Aidan Fitzgerald ranks No. 1 in the conference and 24th in the nation with an average of 2.80 caused turnovers per game.

Team Leaders: Patrick Sheridan leads the Golden Eagles with a total of 33 points this season from 24 goals and nine assists. Rocco Santillo currently has a total of 30 points from a team-high 25 goals and five assists. Ryan McCarthy leads the team with a total of 11 assists this season and has six goals for 17 total points.
 
Aidan Fitzgerald's 59 ground balls rank him with the most on the team with Ethan Stiles right behind him with 56. Fitzgerald also leads the team with a total of 28 caused turnovers this season.
 
In net, John Felice (7-3) has started every game for the Golden Eagles and accumulated a 7.70 goals-against average while making 104 saves.
 
Looking at Plattsburgh: The Cardinals have started off the season 3-9 and 0-3 in SUNAC play. In Plattsburgh's most recent game they defeated Russel Sage College by a score of 21-5. They are 2-3 when playing at home. Stephen Kane leads the team with a total of 45 points from 36 goals and nine assists. Zach Gill leads the Cardinals in assists with a total of 22 and 11 goals for 33 total points. Justin Rocovich has recorded the most ground balls with 49 along with another team-high of 18 caused turnovers.
 
Daniel Umbro is the Cardinals starting faceoff man with a .500 face-off winning percentage going 100-200 so far this season.
 
In net, Christian Bassi (3-9) has started In all 12 games this year for a total of 628:33 minutes. He's allowed 157 goals and has a 14.99 goals-against average while making 145 saves and a .480 save percentage.
