Box Score Binghamton, NY – The SUNY Brockport tennis team was back at it on Friday with another SUNYAC matchup against Oneonta. Brockport was swept, 9-0, for the first time this season, dropping to 4-3 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
Caroline Stewart's eight match win streak in solo play was snapped. She fell in three sets in second singles to make her 6-1 on the season.
Eliza Gonzalez fell in two sets 2-6 and 3-6, moving to 4-3 in first singles.
Samantha Aubin drops below .500 at 3-4 in solos after the loss.
Elizabeth Sirico is now 2-5,
Shannon Aubin is 1-5, and
Grace Trebilcock becomes 0-3 in solos play.
Brockport's first doubles team of
Eliza Gonzalez and
Caroline Stewart loses its first match of the season. It was a hard-fought match, going down to the wire before Oneonta got the 8-7 win. The Red Dragons took the other two doubles matchups by scores of 8-0 and 8-1.
The Golden Eagles are back at the Binghamton Tennis Center on Saturday to close out this busy weekend. They are scheduled to take on New Paltz at 12 pm.
