Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's lacrosse team is on the road this week for a pair of SUNYAC contests. No. 23 Brockport takes on Buffalo State at 4 pm on Wednesday before heading out to Plattsburgh for a 1 pm game on Saturday.
Last Time Out: With a 17-4 win over Potsdam in their last game, the Golden Eagles snapped a two-game losing skid. Thanks to a 10-goal showing in the second quarter, the squad rolled through the visiting Bears at home. Brockport improved to 6-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference after the win.
Odett's Big Day: Claire Odett had her highest point total since putting on the Green and Gold in the last contest. She finished the game against Potsdam with nine total points on three goals and a season-high six assists. Odett is now the team leader in total points (41), goals (27), and assists (14). She has registered at least one point in each game this season and continues to be a vital part of the team's offensive play.
Still Rolling: Cassidy Burnash had a solid outing as well against Potsdam with three goals and two assists for five total points. She has now scored at least one goal in 24 straight games for Brockport.
Logan Hibbard also played well with four more goals and one assist to her season tally. Hibbard and Burnash are both top five on the team in goals scored and total points.
Brick Wall in Net: Morgan Elmer is still at the top of the SUNYAC statistically as the starting goalie for the Green and Gold. Her saves percentage of 56.3% is the best in the conference, while she is second with 139 total saves. Elmer is also second in the conference with her goals against average of 10.68.

Brockport has just four regular season games left to play before the SUNYAC Tournament begins.
Looking at Buffalo State: The Buffalo State Bengals are entering this week with a record of 5-6 overall and 1-4 in the conference. They have lost their last two outings against Oswego and Oneonta. #14 Liz Schultheis leads the team with 36 points on 23 goals and 13 assists, while teammate #9 Sarah Fineour is the leading goal scorer with 25 goals. Buffalo State's starting goalie, #22 Janae Nelson, has come up with 91 saves for a 42.1% saves percentage on the year. Brockport has won eight in a row against the Bengals heading into Wednesday's game.
Scouting Plattsburgh: The Plattsburgh State Cardinals have had a rocky showing recently, currently trying to snap a three-game losing streak. At 3-7 overall and 1-4 in the SUNYAC, the Cardinals will take on Potsdam before this weekend's meeting with Brockport. #7 Emily Caoili leads the way with 26 points on 15 goals and 11 assists. #15 Caroline Noia and #18 Lindsay Guzzetta are tied for tops on the team with 16 goals. Brockport won the last matchup with Plattsburgh, 23-1, back during the 2019 season.
