ONEONTA, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's lacrosse team defeated the Oneonta Red Dragons on the road Saturday afternoon by a score of 9-3.

The Golden Eagles win came from nine unanswered goals as the team's leading scorer
Patrick Sheridan scored four goals for the Golden Eagles with one assist for five points in the game.
Jack Peterson,
Rocco Santillo, and
Ryan McCarthy recorded two points as Peterson and Santillo scored one goal and one assist while McCarthy tallied two assists.
Aidan Fitzgerald increased his SUNYAC leading ground balls stat column as he recorded six against the Red Dragons along with one caused turnover. Peterson and
Anthony McGee also recorded three ground balls with McGee tallying one caused turnover in the game.

After falling behind 1-0 just under five minutes into the game,
Owen VanWie got Brockport on the board with 5:32 remaining in the first quarter before
Patrick Sheridan would score his first goal of the game just under a minute later.
Sheridan would later score with 4:31 remaining in the second quarter an extra man-up before
Jack Peterson would score the team's fourth and the game-winning goal with 2:11 remaining in the second.

Patrick Sheridan who scored two more extra man-up goals in the third would go on to make it an 8-1 game before
Rocco Santillo would score Brockport's ninth unanswered goal of the game with 4:08 remaining in the fourth quarter before Oneonta would add two more goals prior to the final whistle to make it a 9-3 final score.
Team Stats
Brockport outshot Oneonta 36-33 while going 17-19 on successful clear attempts. Brockport beat out Oneonta by more than double on ground balls scooping up 25 total to that of Oneonta's 12 ground balls.
Ethan Stiles went 14-16 on faceoffs while goalkeeper
John Felice picked up the win in the crease as he now has a 7-2 record this season
