BROCKPORT, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's lacrosse team will host SUNY Potsdam for Senior Day on Saturday, April 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.

Historic Stats: The Golden Eagles are on the cusp of a historic season as they currently have an 8-3 record and are tied with the 2010 and 2015 men's lacrosse teams for the second-most wins in the program history. The current record sits at 12 wins which were set during the 2016 season. The team has also scored the second-most goals in program history with a combined 156 goals this season. The current record is 176 combined goals set in 2016.
Patrick Sheridan has recorded a total of 24 goals and nine assists for 33 points this season which puts him at 63 total goals and 21 career assists, for 84 career points his career. His 63 goals and 84 points rank him 6th all-time in goals and tied for 9th in career points in program history.
Rocco Santillo is the Golden Eagles leading goal scorer this season with 29 total goals and five assists. He has accumulated a career 49 points from 37 goals and 12 assists which sits him at 21st for most points in program history.
Looking back: the Golden Eagles defeated Plattsburgh State on the road this past weekend by a score of 13-1 to improve to 3-1 in the SUNYAC.
Rocco Santillo recorded the most goals in the game scoring four for the Golden Eagles while
Owen VanWie tallied four points scoring three goals and one assist against the Cardinals.
The Golden Eagles tallied a total of thirty-four ground balls in the game with 10 caused turnovers.
Ethan Stiles led the team with six ground balls in the game and now has a total of 62 ground balls and added on four more caused turnovers to his team-high 28 giving him a total of 32 this season.
Defensive Athlete of the Week: Aidan Fitzgerald was named the PrestoSports SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week. Fitzgerald's' efforts came from Saturday's game against Plattsburgh where he recorded a career-high six caused turnovers and tallied a total of five ground balls.
Fitzgerald's 34 caused turnovers in 11 games this season ranks 15th in the nation and first in the conference for the most caused turnovers per game averaging 3.09. he leads the team in both categories of caused turnovers with 34 and ground balls with 64.
Looking at Potsdam: The Bears (4-6, 1-3) are led by sophomore midfielder Peyton Walsh who has accumulated 26 points from 21 goals and five assists this season. Cobie Cree of the Bears has also accumulated 26 points this season from 19 goals and seven assists.
Blaze Benedict is Potsdam's top defenseman as the senior from Akwesasne, NY as he's acquired a team-high 31 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers. Liam O'Neil (1-4) and Ben Fuchs (3-2) have each started in five games for the Bears in goal with O'Neil having 10 total appearances compared to Fuchs seven. O'Neil has spent a total time of 332:50 in goal while allowing 59 goals and making 80 saves against 139 shots on goal.
What's Ahead: following the Golden Eagles Senior Day game, the Golden Eagles will host SUNY Geneseo on Tuesday, April 26th at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium for the team's final regular-season home contest. Faceoff is set to take place at 4:00 p.m.
