Brockport, NY – A huge second quarter highlighted a 16-5 win for Brockport over Oswego at home. The Golden Eagles have now won four in a row, improving to 9-5 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
Claire Odett and
Logan Hibbard led the way, as they both finished with five points on the day. Odett notched three goals and two assists in the game and has five or more points in four straight games. Hibbard scored four times, had one assist, and grabbed six draw controls.
Cassidy Burnash scored a hat trick on the day, once again extending her streak to 27 games in a row with a goal.
Allison Jennings racked up three points from one goal and two assists.
Danielle Hemly and
Alayna Foos both scored a pair of goals.
Courtney Cunningham had one goal, three groundballs, one draw control, and a caused turnover.
Alexandria VanDerKar came up with two caused turnovers, four draw controls, and one groundball.
Morgan Elmer played the full 60 in net to rack up six saves, two groundballs, and two caused turnovers. During this four-game win streak, Brockport has won each game by 10 or more goals and has not allowed more than five goals to any team.
After missing some games,
Alayna Foos came back and got right back into the action with a goal early on. Brockport's lead grew to 2-0 after
Claire Odett's first goal of the game with 9:16 on the clock. The squad outshot Oswego, 10-3, in the first but only held a two-goal lead going into the second.
Oswego would get on the board in the first few minutes of the second quarter, but the Golden Eagles dominated the period. Thanks to six different goal scorers, they outscored Oswego, 8-1, in the second to take a commanding 10-1 lead at halftime.

Allison Jennings all found the back of the net in the first half. The team outshot Oswego, 22-3, in the first two quarters.
The visiting Lakers showed some fight in the second half, scoring two goals in both the third and fourth quarters. However, the home squad in white continued to score as well with six more goals in the second half. Brockport won the second half, 6-4, marching through for the 11-point victory.
The Golden Eagles have already clinched a spot in the SUNYAC Tournament, and now look to secure a home game in the first round. They take on Oneonta on Senior Day on Saturday for the final regular season match. The action gets started at 1 pm at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.
