Brockport, NY – The No. 19 SUNY Brockport women's lacrosse team will host SUNY Cortland for a rematch of the 2021 SUNYAC Championship game. Starting at 7 pm Saturday night under the lights, it is a Whiteout so fans are asked to wear white to the game.
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles came out hot and dominated Fredonia from start to finish in their last outing, getting the 19-3 win. They improved to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in SUNYAC play, but they also celebrated a big milestone. Head Coach

th win of his coaching career on the day, which includes 115 wins at Brockport as the winningest coach in program history.
Top 10 in the SUNYAC: SUNYAC Rookie of the Year candidate
Alayna Foos continues to shine in her first year wearing the Green and Gold. She currently leads the nationally ranked Brockport squad in total points (28) and goals scored (22). Her 22 goals so far this year has her ranked inside the top 10 in the conference.
Getting it Done: Claire Odett has been a great addition to the team this season, as she is second on the squad with 27 points from 21 goals and six assists.
Logan Hibbard (15G &10A) and
Allison Jennings (18G & 7A) have both registered a total of 25 points so far this season. Hibbard also leads the team with nine caused turnovers and is second with 20 draw controls.
Courtney Cunningham is first for Brockport with 27 draw controls and is second with eight caused turnovers.
Burnash Scoring Streak: Junior attacker
Cassidy Burnash has been incredibly consistent throughout her career at Brockport. After finishing the last game with two scores, Burnash extends her streak to 21 consecutive games with at least one goal. She has scored in every game this season and found the back of the net in each game last year as well. So far in 2022 she has racked up 19 goals, which ranks third on the team.
In Net: Starting goalie
Morgan Elmer continues to stay at the top of the SUNYAC stat sheet thanks to her work in net. Elmer leads the conference with 107 total saves and has the best saves percentage of 56.9%. She heads into the weekend with the league's second-best goals against average of 10.64. Morgan has come up with double-digit saves in six of Brockport's eight games so far this season.
SUNYAC Finals Rematch: Brockport and Cortland last played each other in the 2021 SUNYAC Championship game, which saw Cortland take the title, 15-13. Heading into this big weekend matchup, Brockport is ranked 19
th in the country while Cortland is currently in the receiving votes category. The Red Dragons are 6-4 overall and 3-0 in conference play so far. Their biggest threat on the field is #17 Hannah Lorenzen who is fourth in the SUNYAC with 41 points on 31 goals and 10 assists. Goalie #00 Paige Potter has the best goals against average in the conference at 9.20. Brockport and Cortland have a 1-1 split against each other in the last two meetings.
