BROCKPORT, NY – The SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles earned their second conference win Saturday afternoon by sweeping SUNY Oneonta in three straight sets.
Match Recap: Brockport's three-set sweep came in the form of the Golden Eagles taking set 1: 25-17, set 2: 25-10 and set 3: 25-22
Team Stats: As a team, Brockport outplayed Oneonta in all six major statistical categories in the match. The Golden Eagles earned 57 points, 55 digs, 43 kills, 41 assists, eight service aces, and six blocks. Brockport's 43 kills with eight errors in 104 attempts resulted in a team hitting percentage of .337. Oneonta managed 34 points, 46 digs, 27 kills, 25 assists, six service aces, and one block.
Offensive Leader: Andrea Coyle led Brockport's offense with 15.5 points. she earned 13 kills with no errors in 27 attempts for an outstanding .481 hitting percentage against the Red Dragons. Along with her 13 kills, Coyle also had six digs, three block assists, and one service ace.
Another Big Game: Jordan Thompson earned the second most points in the match with 12.5 points from 12 kills and one block assist along with seven digs defensively. Her 12 kills with two errors in 26 attempts left her with an impressive .385 hitting percentage.
Alexis Sison managed to record 8.5 points in the match from eight kills and one block assist along with 11 total digs.
Alenna Williamson finished with 6.5 points from five kills and three block assists with a. 400-hitting percentage.
Myah Frostclapp along with Coyle and Williamson earned three block assists. Frostclapp also tallied three kills for a total of 4.5 points in the match.
Ashley Allen led the Golden Eagles with 23 set assists in the match along with a block assist.
Kerri McHale recorded 15 set assists in the match along with three points from three service aces.
Madalyn Bowen led the Golden Eagles defensively in digs picking up 13 total digs. Her 13 digs today now push her past the 200-season mark with 206 so far this season.
