BROCKPORT, NY – The SUNY Brockport tennis team will compete in Oswego, NY on Friday, September 9^th at 3:00 pm before traveling to Cortland, NY on Saturday, September 10^th at 1:00 pm.
 
Weekend Recap: The Golden Eagles are 0-2 after losing matches to St. John Fisher and Houghton this past weekend. Against the Cardinals, Eliza Gonzalez and Elizabeth Sirico teamed up in the first doubles spot to score the only point on the day for the Golden Eagles. Their duo defeated the top St. John Fisher pairing, 8-4, on the day. In singles competition, Eliza Gonzalez and Emma Lissow both won their matchups to score the squad's two points on the day. Gonzalez got the win in first singles, taking the point two-sets to none 6-1, 6-3. Lissow took care of business in the fourth singles slot in just two sets 6-2, 6-3 for her first win of the season. AOTW: For her performance, Gonzalez was also named this week's Prestosport Women's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week. The junior is also 1-1 in doubles play so far this season. In the season opening match against St. John Fisher she teamed up with Elizabeth Sirico for an 8-4 win in first doubles.
 
What's Ahead: After this week, The women will host Alfred University on September 13^th at 4:00 pm before traveling to Fredonia on Saturday, September 17^th at 1:00 pm.
