Cortland, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's basketball team fell to Cortland, 81-50, on the road on Tuesday in a conference clash. The loss puts Brockport at 7-7 overall and 4-3 in the SUNYAC.
Juan Brown led the Green and Gold with 11 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks.
Stephanie Jean-Baptiste had 10 points, scoring double-digits for the fifth straight game.
Shannon Blankenship chipped in with 10 points, five boards, and a pair of steals.
Zairea Hannah grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds in the contest.
The Red Dragons would lead from start to finish in this game, jumping out to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter. They outscored Brockport 25-4 in the first, and held a 25-point lead at halftime.
As the second half got going the Golden Eagles continued to trail big on the road. They would head into the fourth quarter trailing, 60-36. Cortland cruised through the finish line for the 31-point win, improving to 12-2 overall and 8-0 in the SUNYAC.
Brockport will be back on its home floor this weekend for another set of conference games. The team will host New Paltz on Friday at 5:30pm and Oneonta on Saturday at 2pm.
